What Is the Women’s Freedom Gathering?
This special weekend is a blend of meaningful connections, uplifting fellowship among women from across the U.S., and powerful times of worship and receiving from Jesus and one another.
Here, at the edge of the waves, you’ll discover what it means to rest in Christ’s finished work, ride the waves of His grace, and lift your voice in freedom.
Three Pillars
Faith & Righteousness
Deepening our understanding of the gift of righteousness, as revealed in 2 Corinthians 5:21 TPT:
“For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we who did not know righteousness might become the righteousness of God through our union with him.”
Having Fun
Embracing joy through fellowship, worship, and shared experiences that bring fulfillment to our faith journey.
Education
Growing in the knowledge of Christ, His empowerment, and the ability to make a cultural impact through biblical principles and continuous learning.
At the heart of each Women’s Freedom Gathering are three guiding pillars—truths that anchor us, uplift us, and carry us forward like the tide. Each pillar reflects the heartbeat of this gathering: to stand firmly in our identity in Christ, to embrace the joy of fellowship and freedom, and to grow in wisdom so we can make a lasting impact in the world around us.
How Can I Describe the Women’s Freedom Gathering?
As a result of Jesus’ finished work on the cross for us, we celebrate with His presence, pictures, plans, prayers, coordination and organization, discussions, menus, room rates, more prayers, invitations, promotions, reconfiguring, teamwork, and intentions.
Scriptures and stories—so very much goes into the preparations that God stirs in us all together as we come with expectancy from God’s Word and Spirit.
Our time on Topsail Island forged new friendships. It always brings challenges to overcome with travel and time changes, yet we all have these divine connections that will last into eternity.
Meaningful, rich worship sessions together with Mona Clark and Nicole Strevell led us through the weekend, followed by beach walks after some breakthrough sunshine on Sunday, strolling through shops, sharing meals together, and applying wisdom from the teaching and ministry sessions.
These are set-ups for each of us to have God-encounters. Thus, our Freedom Gathering!
Special thanks to Amber Sloan and Brian Sloan for their shared vision and support. Thank you to my sweet and supportive husband, Dennis Capra, for being such a servant in helping.
Thanks to each participant for your steps of faith to come to North Carolina for the Riding the Waves Women’s Freedom Gathering. God’s love infused us all.
More to come next Spring!
